Volunteer: Quality Reviewer

This is a seasonal position (January – April). We have had an overwhleming response to our call for volunteers for 2010 Tax Season. We are unable to accept anymore volunteers for this position.

Quality Reviewer Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Performs a quality review of returns prepared by volunteer tax preparers for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares tax returns as needed depending on site volume.
• Informs clients about other services available through the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign and its partners.

Quality Reviewer Volunteer Qualifications:

• VITA Volunteer tax preparer for at least 2 years.
• Complete all training and certification requirements of Tax Preperar position.
• Complete Quality Reviewer Self-Study Module
• Pass an IRS-certification examthrough the Advanced level. This exam is open-book and untimed.
• Strong computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible with volunteer hours (availability is on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends)
