Atlanta Legal Aid Society provides legal advice to residents of the metro Atlanta area. They provide counseling regarding housing, consumer fraud, public benefits, employment, education, health, spouse abuse and child custody cases. They represent those who are low-income, elderly, disabled, mentally ill or who have AIDS, cancer or ALS. (404) 524-5811.

Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, a part of the Georgia State University College of Law, offers free legal advice and representation before the IRS or the U.S. Tax Court. If you are having legal issues with the IRS, the Taxpayer Clinic may be able to help. 404-413-9230.

IRS Taxpayer Advocate, a part of the IRS, can help you resolve problems with the IRS. If IRS actions are preventing you from providing housing, transportation, or food for you family, then call the Tax Advocate. (877) 777-4778.
